Property description

A Victorian three bedroom detached property in a prominent position in the village directly opposite the historic 13th century village church.

The property was originally built in 1869 and was used as the meeting and tea rooms for the village church. It has been the subject of a comprehensive refurbishment programme, with careful attention paid to blending modern amenities with original features including original lattice windows, ledge and brace doors and exposed timbers. The 1,421 sq. ft. of accommodation includes two reception rooms, an open plan kitchen/dining room, a separate utility room with Dekton worksurfaces and built-in dishwasher and a shower room on the ground floor. The first floor landing has access to the roof space, the family bathroom, and three double bedrooms. The master bedroom is dual aspect and has a shower on a mezzanine level, and doors to a balcony. The walled garden has been designed for ease of maintenance with a large paved outdoor entertaining area and there is a driveway with parking for up to three cars.

Reception Rooms

The sitting room is dual aspect with original lattice windows and French doors to the rear terrace. Features include a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and timbers, and an inglenook style fireplace with raised hearth and timber bressumer. An exposed brick wall incorporates a wine rack with space for 32 bottles. A feature iron spiral staircase leads to the master bedroom on the first floor. There is also a snug which overlooks the church.

Kitchen/Dining Room

The kitchen/dining room has a range of dark wood fronted contemporary units with Dekton work surfaces and an inset sink. Integrated appliances include an electric induction hob, an electric oven, and a fridge/freezer. There is an exposed flagstone floor, exposed beams and timbers, a brick former fireplace and dual aspect lattice windows, one overlooking a walled courtyard at the rear. A staircase leads to the first floor.
